Chestnut tree Castanea sativa Marsol is a healthy fertile tree with edible fruits. This originally French variety produces tasty edible chestnuts. This tree is often used as a pollinator variety.
Make a planting hole twice the size of the tree's root ball/pot.
Step 2:Break up the walls of the dug hole with the shovel.
Step 3:Add a planting hole improver if required.
Step 4:Plant the tree as high as it was in the container.
Step 5:Make a raised border around the tree with soil for easy watering.
Step 6:Place two tree stakes a 30cm from the tree and attach them to the stakes with natural binding material.
Step 7:Clear a 1-metre diameter tree bed of plantings and keep it that way for the first few years.
Step 8:During the dry period, water densely, on average 10 litres once a week. If in doubt, always contact us.

Advice:The average walnut tree does not like a wet location, so make sure you plant it at a slightly higher spot in your garden so that the tree does not end up in a puddle of water during the winter.
