About the Plovdivski
The walnut tree Plovdivski is a variety originating from Plovdiv (Bulgaria). One of the best Eastern European varieties. The tree can withstand frost well. The walnut is suitable for general use and has therefore been planted in the Netherlands for decades. The tree has fresh green leaves. Because the flowering of the male and female flowers is protandrous, you need a pollinator to get more fruit. Plovdivski is suitable for both private gardens and walnut plantations and can also be used well in agroforestry.
Quality of the Nut
Plovdivski has large elongated nuts with a thick shell and a large kernel. The tree comes into production as early as 4 years and the nuts have a good flavour.
