About the Mulberry Giant Fruit
The Morus alba Giant Fruit is a fast-growing mulberry tree with a beautiful open crown. This mulberry variety is special because of its strikingly large fruits. Compared with many other mulberries the fruits can grow long and large. They ripen from dark purple to almost black and have a sweet, juicy and aromatic flavour. The tree has a high ornamental value, is very winter hardy and grows best in a sunny and sheltered position with well-drained soil.
Quality of the fruit
The fruits of the Morus alba ‘Giant Fruit’ are strikingly large and turn dark red to almost black as they ripen. When fully ripe, they have a deliciously full, juicy and aromatically sweet flavour. Compared with many other mulberry varieties the fruits contain relatively little acidity, making the flavour particularly mild and pleasantly sweet.
