About the varieties
The Elderberry Package consists of two vigorous and productive elderberry bushes that complement each other perfectly. Both varieties bloom in the spring with large clusters of creamy white flowers, followed by clusters of dark purple to black elderberries in late summer. Planting these two different varieties together significantly improves cross-pollination, which can lead to a higher yield and better fruit set. Both shrubs are hardy, grow vigorously, and thrive best in a sunny to partially shaded location in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil. Once heated, the berries are excellent for making juice, syrup, jam, and jelly.
