How do I plant my tree?

Step 1:

Make a planting hole twice the size of the tree's root ball/pot.

Step 2:

Break up the walls of the dug hole with the shovel.

Step 3:

Add a planting hole improver if required.

Step 4:

Plant the tree as high as it was in the container.

Step 5:

Make a raised border around the tree with soil for easy watering.

Step 6:

Place two tree stakes a 30cm from the tree and attach them to the stakes with natural binding material.

Step 7:

Clear a 1-metre diameter tree bed of plantings and keep it that way for the first few years.

Step 8:

During the dry period, water densely, on average 10 litres once a week. If in doubt, always contact us.

A planting leaflet is included with every delivery.

Advice:

The average walnut tree does not like a wet location, so make sure you plant it at a slightly higher spot in your garden so that the tree does not end up in a puddle of water during the winter.

The hazelnut tree Fercoril CORABEL is suitable for both private and professional cultivation. A good variety for planting in our region. Fertility is good but with a suitable pollinator, production is higher. The hazelnuts keep well and taste delicious. Due to our special method of propagation and rootstock choice, these plants do not suffer from annoying and harmful formation of ‘storage’ (uncontrolled proliferative branches growing from the base of the trunk). As a result, the hazelnut tree can really be grown as a low-stemmed or even high-stemmed tree.
