How do I plant my tree?

Step 1:

Make a planting hole twice the size of the tree's root ball/pot.

Step 2:

Break up the walls of the dug hole with the shovel.

Step 3:

Add a planting hole improver if required.

Step 4:

Plant the tree as high as it was in the container.

Step 5:

Make a raised border around the tree with soil for easy watering.

Step 6:

Place two tree stakes a 30cm from the tree and attach them to the stakes with natural binding material.

Step 7:

Clear a 1-metre diameter tree bed of plantings and keep it that way for the first few years.

Step 8:

During the dry period, water densely, on average 10 litres once a week. If in doubt, always contact us.

A planting leaflet is included with every delivery.

Advice:

The average walnut tree does not like a wet location, so make sure you plant it at a slightly higher spot in your garden so that the tree does not end up in a puddle of water during the winter.

About the Rubus Loganberry

The Rubus Loganberry is a vigorous bramble that originated from a cross between a raspberry and a blackberry. The plant produces long tendrils and yields a bountiful harvest of striking, dark red fruits. The flavor is fresh and sweet with a slightly tart undertone, giving the fruits a distinct and aromatic character. It is self-pollinating, but for optimal pollination, it is better to plant two varieties together, such as the ‘Rubus Tayberry’ raspberry x blackberry.

 


Quality of the Raspberry x Blackberry

The loganberry is a large, elongated fruit with a deep red to reddish-purple color. The fruits are juicy and soft in texture, with an aromatic flavor that combines the sweetness of raspberries with the fresh, slightly tart notes of blackberries. Due to their distinctive shape and rich flavor, loganberries are among the most unique fruits in the small fruit assortment.
