How do I plant my tree?

Step 1:

Make a planting hole twice the size of the tree's root ball/pot.

Step 2:

Break up the walls of the dug hole with the shovel.

Step 3:

Add a planting hole improver if required.

Step 4:

Plant the tree as high as it was in the container.

Step 5:

Make a raised border around the tree with soil for easy watering.

Step 6:

Place two tree stakes a 30cm from the tree and attach them to the stakes with natural binding material.

Step 7:

Clear a 1-metre diameter tree bed of plantings and keep it that way for the first few years.

Step 8:

During the dry period, water densely, on average 10 litres once a week. If in doubt, always contact us.

A planting leaflet is included with every delivery.

Advice:

The average walnut tree does not like a wet location, so make sure you plant it at a slightly higher spot in your garden so that the tree does not end up in a puddle of water during the winter.

About the Rubus Tayberry

The Rubus Tayberry is a unique hybrid of a raspberry and a blackberry. This vigorous fruit bush produces large, elongated reddish-purple berries that stand out for their juicy flesh and rich, sweet flavor. Compared to other raspberry-blackberry hybrids, the berries are generally larger and sweeter, with less tartness. Thanks to its vigorous growth, high yield, and excellent flavor, the Tayberry is a popular choice among lovers of unique small fruits. The Tayberry grows best in a sunny, sheltered spot in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil. It is self-pollinating, but for optimal pollination, it is better to plant two varieties together, such as the Raspberry x Blackberry ‘Rubus Loganberry’.
