About Asimina triloba Selection 1-7-2/Wabash®
The Asimina triloba ‘Selection 1-7-2’, also known as ‘Wabash®’, is a hardy pawpaw native to the United States that produces large, round fruit of excellent quality with a delicious tropical flavor. The tree blooms in the spring with striking dark red-purple flowers. ‘Selection 1-7-2’ grows best in a sunny location in humus-rich, well-drained soil and has large, bright green leaves with a tropical appearance. It is not self-pollinating, so another pawpaw cultivar is needed for good fruit set.
